Dolphins, turtles, whales 10 kinds of lemur, several kinds of tenrek and mongoos, 14 kinds of bats, 60 kinds of reptiles and about 85 kinds of birds incl rare eagles and owls, many kinds of palm trees and orchids.

Description

210 000 ha, extremely humid penninsula running into the Indian ocean, one of the best preserved rain forests on the island, three protected sea areas – mangroves, coral cliffs, exceptional vegetation – primary forest, rain forest, coastal forest.

Possible activities

One of the best areas for trekking on Madagascar, snorkelling, sea kayaking.
