West Tanzania, 390 km far from Kigoma, 40 km east of Lake Tanganyika

Difficult - mostly by a charter flight

Characteristic

4 471 km2, Flat to slightly undulated area lying at the bottom of the Rift Valley and the bordering rift valley shoulders - altitude 820 - 960 m. Typical ecosystems: semi-arid bushy savannah, freshwater ecosystems (rivers, lakes, waterfalls), flooded plains, extensive seasonal wetlands. True wilderness.
