Characteristic
119 km2; Spectacular mountain landscapes of central Andes, whose main attractions are the Antuco Volcano, Sierra Velluda and Laguna del Laja. The park ranges in elevation from 976 m to 3585 m at Sierra Velluda. Sharp ridges and deep valleys carve this rugged region. The park forms part of the Bío-Bío River basin. Several glaciers and waterfalls. Typical ecosystems: temperate zone forests, river and lake ecosystems, alpine and volcanic biotopes.
